Story Telling Contest at Crossroads Mall - August 25th

Come out and participate in the Crossroads Mall's "Third Annual Southern West Virginia Storytelling Contest" on Saturday, August 25th at 3:00 PM in Center court.  We invite you to come out and join in the fun.  You can tell your story or just listen to the sometimes outrageous tales of others.  All stories will be judged and prizes awarded to the best storyteller.  Contestants will have approximately 4-8 minutes to tell their story.  Tall tales are accepted and appreciated!  First place winner will win $100.00 and trophy, 2nd place $75.00 and trophy and 3rd place $50.00 and trophy.  The contest will begin at 3:00 PM with registration for contestants on Saturday between 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM.  Up to 20 storytellers can participate in the event.  Early registration is strongly recommended to ensure your spot in the contest.  For more information and to register, call Scott Hill at 540-580-3908 or e-mail at williamscotthill@rocketmail.com.  This event is sponsored by Crossroads Mall, New River Community and Technical College and Radio stations WCIR, WTNJ and TV station WVNS.
